Our team is planning to release several accessibility features to Harmonize on Thursday, April 9th, though this date may change if more time is needed to ensure a high feature quality.
The new features include support for audio descriptions in video, a transcript viewer for video and audio, a transcript editor for video and audio, and improvements to setting alt text on images and descriptive text on links. Additionally, any institutions that have opted into our AI Accessibility package will have audio descriptions generated for instructor videos automatically in the background as well as alt text generated for both instructor and student images as well as have access to Harmonize Pages for hosting accessible course content.
Please Note: this release will not result in any downtime for instructors or students. Harmonize is designed to roll updates out gradually, allowing all users to continue their work without interruption.
